Our ProLine Mini racks were designed specifically for breeders and keepers who want maximum efficiency without compromising on build quality or animal care. They offer a compact, affordable, and more accessible way to enter the Freedom Breeder ecosystem — without the larger investment or shipping challenges associated with full-size rack systems.
Perfect for smaller collections, limited spaces, quarantine setups, the FB40 ProLine Mini is also scalable. Add levels at any time as your collection grows.

Every Freedom Breeder rack is manufactured at our facility from raw materials using premium J4 stainless steel for superior strength and rust resistance. USE RECOMMENDATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
While we provide general “typical” use recommendations based on our experience and customer feedback, enclosure selection should always be based on species-specific husbandry needs. We strongly encourage independent research to ensure optimal care.
FB40 tubs are most commonly used for ball pythons (up to ~2000g) or other similarly sized species. However, these tubs are well-suited for a wide variety of species—snakes, lizards, geckos, and skinks. Their longer length provides ample room for movement while providing the security needed to reduce stress.
We generally recommend semi-clear tubs for diurnal species (animals active during the day), and grey tubs for nocturnal or crepuscular species (animals active at night or during low-light hours like dawn & dusk.)

- All Freedom Breeder reptile racks, MUST be used in combination with a thermostat to safely regulate temps
- does not have to be a Freedom Breeder thermostat, but should be a high-end thermostat model such as: Vivarium Electronics (VE thermostat), Spyder Robotics (Herpstat), or a Freedom Breeder (FB thermostat)
- Due to the reflective finish on our heat panels, temp readings (with an IR temp gun) should be taken from inside the tubs
- Temps should be setup, tested, and adjusted PRIOR to introducing reptiles in the rack
- We recommend a dual-zone (2-probe) thermostat for any racks over five levels tall
- to ensure the most consistent temps
- Don’t forget to add an FB Thermostat to your order so your rack is ready to set up and use right away!
Recommended Maximum Levels:
- FB40 ProLine Mini: 8 tub levels total (base configuration + 3 additional levels)
Based on our internal testing, single rack level quantities exceeding the recommended maximum stack height may compromise overall stability and should only be assembled at the customer’s own discretion and risk.

SHIPPING
ProLine Mini racks ship via standard ground — in boxes (no freight required) for easier delivery and lower costs — only available for orders shipping within the Contiguous United States (lower 48), all other locations (including international) must ship via freight.
- Rack shipping—base configuration only—is calculated at checkout
- Adding any “extra” levels to this rack will require additional boxes and will not included in the shipping total calculated at checkout
- Shipping costs (for extra levels) will be calculated and invoiced separately—via an email invoice—after order processing

Lead times for ProLine Mini racks are the same as all other rack orders. Every Freedom Breeder rack is manufactured after an order is placed, enters the same production queue, and is built in the order received. Current estimated lead times are posted and updated weekly on our website homepage, as well as on the cart and checkout pages.
