OVERVIEW
This page allows customers to order ANY of our ProLine Mini rack models by-level for:
- Additional (add-on) levels for an existing rack
- Creating custom rack configurations
- Ordering fewer levels than our preset base configurations
- Building compatible mixed-level rack setups (see compatibility chart below)
IMPORTANT ORDERING + COMPATIBILITY INFORMATION
Standalone Single-Level Orders
- Ordering a single standalone level of any ProLine Mini rack will require both a base frame and casters. This is necessary because each heat panel requires a frame beneath the tub for proper support and installation.
Mixed-Level Configurations
- Only FB70 and FB80 ProLine Mini models are compatible for mixed-level stacking.
- If ordering multiple different rack level models that are NOT compatible to stack together, and you would like to add a base frame and/or tabletop to more than one configuration, each configuration must be entered as a separate cart item.
- Only one base frame and one tabletop can be added per cart item.
- To order multiples of the exact same configuration, simply adjust the quantity before adding to cart.
TUB OPTIONS
Tub Color
- All tub models are available in either Grey or Semi-Clear
Cupholder (upgrade)
- Cupholder upgrades are available for all tub models except FB80 Semi-Clear tubs
Tub Ventilation (upgrade)
Ventilation hole upgrades (directly on the tubs) are only available for:
- FB10 tubs
- FB40 tubs
- FB70 tubs
Tub Windows (upgrade)
- Only Grey FB80 tubs are compatible with window upgrades
LEVEL COMPATIBILITY
As some of our rack systems have evolved over the years, compatibility between current and discontinued models can occasionally be confusing. To help simplify the process, we’ve compiled the compatibility information below.
Non-Compatible Standalone Models
The following ProLine Mini models are unique configurations and are NOT compatible with any other rack models:
- FB10 ProLine Mini
- FB20 ProLine Mini
- FB40 ProLine Mini
Compatible Mixed-Level Models
FB70 and FB80 ProLine Mini levels ARE compatible to stack with the following models:
- FB80 ProLine Mini (PLM-0404-80)
- FB70 ProLine Mini (PLM-0505-70)
- FB80 ProLine Mini-Compact (0808-80) & (0808-80W) – Discontinued for new Mini version
- FB70 ProLine Mini-Compact (1010-70) – Discontinued for new Mini version
- Classic Reptile 1010-70 – Only available to order “by-level” via Classic Custom Per Level – Compact page
- Classic Reptile 0808-80(W) – Only available to order “by-level” via Classic Custom Per Level – Compact page
RECOMMENDATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
While we provide general “typical” use recommendations based on our experience and customer feedback, enclosure selection should always be based on species-specific husbandry needs. We strongly encourage independent research to ensure optimal care.
We generally recommend semi-clear tubs for diurnal species (animals active during the day), and grey tubs for nocturnal or crepuscular species (animals active at night or during low-light hours like dawn & dusk.)
To ensure the safety of your reptiles and proper heat panel usage/setup…
- All Freedom Breeder reptile racks, MUST be used in combination with a thermostat to safely regulate temps
- does not have to be a Freedom Breeder thermostat, but should be a high-end thermostat model such as: Vivarium Electronics (VE thermostat), Spyder Robotics (Herpstat), or a Freedom Breeder (FB thermostat)
- Due to the reflective finish on our heat panels, temp readings (with an IR temp gun) should be taken from inside the tubs
- Temps should be setup, tested, and adjusted PRIOR to introducing reptiles in the rack
- We recommend a dual-zone (2-probe) thermostat for any racks over five levels tall
- to ensure the most consistent temps

- FB20 level: ~18″(W) x 21 1/2″(D) x 6 1/2″(H)
- FB40 level: ~15 5/8″(W) x 34″(D) x 6 3/4″(H)
- FB70 level: ~20″(W) x 34″(D) x 6 3/4″(H)
- FB80 level: ~20″(W) x 33 1/2″(D) x 8 1/2″(H)
SHIPPING
ProLine Mini racks ship via standard ground — in boxes (no freight required) for easier delivery and lower costs — only available for orders shipping within the Contiguous United States (lower 48), all other locations (including international) must ship via freight.
- Shipping costs (for levels ordered via this page) will not be calculated at checkout and will be calculated and invoiced separately—via an email invoice—after order processing

Lead times for ProLine Mini racks are the same as all other rack orders. Every Freedom Breeder rack is manufactured after an order is placed, enters the same production queue, and is built in the order received. Current estimated lead times are posted and updated weekly on our website homepage, as well as on the cart and checkout pages.
