The CocoShaker is not just for substrate prep—it doubles as a portable workstation and storage solution. The bottom platform provides extra space for additional CocoBlox, tubs, deli cups, or other reptile care essentials. Plus, the stainless-steel lid keeps unused substrate covered and aerated for future use.
Using the CocoShaker
- Dry Sift & Separate – Break down CocoBlox (or other coconut substrate, dry) in the top tray and move it around over the grate to remove any fine coconut, pith, or dust.
- Hydrate & Expand – Add water and let it sit for 10–20 minutes to allow full expansion. Adjust moisture levels based on your reptiles’ humidity needs.
- Utilize Both Products – The finer material collects in the bottom tray, perfect for high-humidity species, while chunkier pieces remain in the top tray for larger reptiles.
- Store with Ease – Cover any unused substrate with the stainless-steel lid—no extra storage bins needed!
